17th October - Autumn Surprise

17th October 2017.
Setting sail from Oban on our autumn mystery cruise, we arrived at our overnight anchorage in Tobermory Bay, Isle of Mull.
18th October 2017.
We spent the first morning cruising the Sound of Sleat, Kyle Rhea and under the Skye Bridge on passage towards our first mystery port of call, the village of Shieldaig for afternoon walks ashore and refreshments at Nannys cafe.
We anchored overnight in Loch Gairloch where the Welcome Gala Dinner was held.
19th October 2017.
This morning we sailed into Loch Ewe for a visit to Inverewe Garden to admire the work of Osgood MacKenzie.
Guests enjoyed a fabulous buffet lunch before a relaxing afternoon on board as we cruised The Minch on passage to Stornoway, Isle of Lewis, where we remained overnight.
20th October 2017.
From Stornoway this morning, a coach was available to take guests to visit Callanish Standing Stones, Dun Carloway Broch and Lews Castle Museum.
We spent the afternoon cruising the Shiant Isles and Loch Seaforth on passage to our overnight anchorage in East Loch Tarbert.
21st October 2017.
Our island tour of Harris included Harris Tweed and the Isle of Harris Distillery.
Guests enjoyed a relaxing afternoon on board cruising the west coast of the Isle of Skye and the Small Isles on passage to our overnight anchorage off Java Point.
22nd October 2017.
After our foray north we spent the morning cruising south to the Sound of Luing and the Sound of Jura on passage to Loch na Mile, Isle of Jura, where, after lunch, a minibus conducted a shuttle service to the village of Craighouse for walks.
We anchored overnight in Loch na Mile.
23rd October 2017.
Our final port of call on this surprise cruise was Scalasaig, Isle of Colonsay where guests visited Colonsay House Gardens.
During the afternoon we cruised the Firth of Lorn and Loch Linnhe on passage to our overnight anchorage in Duart Bay where the Farewell Gala Dinner was held.
23rd October 2017.
