23rd August - West to Prince's Bay

Enjoy a 4 night cruise on board Hebridean Princess as we explore small islands and remote areas of the Outer Hebrides, including peaceful strolls, a panoramic tour and an exploration of a once grand and flamboyant castle.

Friday, 23rd August.

Once guests had been piped on board in Oban, we set sail for our overnight anchorage in Bloody Bay off the Isle of Mull.

Saturday, 24th August.

Our first port of call was the Small Isle of Rum for a morning visit to the red sandstone Edwardian folly of Kinloch Castle.

Guests spent a relaxing afternoon cruising the Sea of the Hebrides on passage towards our overnight anchorage off Lochboisdale, South Uist.

Sunday, 25th August.

From Lochboisdale guests travelled to Eriskay for walks on Prince’s beach where Prince Charles Edward Stuart landed on 23rd July 1745.

Pre lunch Mai Tai cocktails were served out on the Skye Deck as we sailed to Castlebay for our afternoon tour of Barra or visit to Kisimul Castle, the only significant surviving medieval castle in the Outer Hebrides.

We returned across the Sea of the Hebrides on passage to our overnight anchorage off the Isle of Canna.

Monday, 26th August.

Our final port of call was the Isle of Canna where guests enjoyed walks ashore and visited Canna House.

Our afternoon was spent cruising south on passage towards our overnight anchorage off the Isle of Kerrera.

Tuesday, 27th August.

Guests disembarked in Oban after breakfast and we hope they have enjoyed their short cruise from the Small Isles to the Outer Isles.
