Heading for the historic Port Ellen, capital of the whisky isle of Islay, Ardbeg Distillery was our first port of call. Founded in 1815, this distillery produces the peatiest whisky on the island and has obtained several awards throughout the years.

During lunch we travelled north to Jura to make a landing on the remote and beautiful beach at West Loch Tarbert where the freshwater loch runs for miles.

We remained at anchor overnight in West Loch Tarbert.

Our morning was spent on the Isle of Colonsay for a visit to Colonsay House Gardens.  Dating from the 1930's the gardens are home to one of the finest rhododendron collections in Scotland and unique trees and shrubs from around the world are situated within its 20 acres.

Our afternoon port of call was the Isle of Iona where guests were tendered ashore to visit Iona Abbey, one of the oldest and most significant religious centres in Western Europe and previously a focal point for the broadening of Christianity throughout Scotland.

We anchored overnight in Loch Tuath off Ulva.

This morning was spent on the Isle of Coll where guests enjoyed refreshing walks to explore this bird haven, fringed with silver-sand beaches.

Steaming in an easterly direction over lunch, we anchored in Glenmore Bay off the Ardnamurchan Peninsula for our final visit to the Ardnamurchan Natural History Centre.

The Farewell Gala Dinner was held at anchor in Charlotte Bay off Kerrera where we remained overnight.
